Woven Landscapes: Custom
An 18x18” handwoven piece, framed in a box frame, inspired by a landscape of your choice.
This one began with a photograph of the Bulgarian seaside - and was translated into a one-of-a-kind woven landscape. It is handwoven by third-generation artisan Champaben, who reinterprets traditional Kutchi weaving, a 600 year old tradition, into contemporary landscapes.
We’d love to weave a view that means something to you. We’re taking on a limited number of custom commissions - send us a photograph of a landscape you love, and together with Champaben, we’ll translate it into a woven piece for you. *Subject to the limitations of the craft.

Notes from the field
Champaben works from her home in Bhujodi, a weaving village in Kutch known for generations of traditional textile craft.
Each composition builds up in layers on the loom, as Champaben uses extra weft to raise parts of the design and give the landscape its dimension.
The colours and horizons of each series translate iconic landscapes into cloth - pictured here is the Rann of Kutch.
